st valentine

These poor guys. It's 7:32pm, and only now they're lining up to get flowers for the significant other that would go nuts were he to have returned from work without them. All I can say is thank goodness that florist was still stocking so late....and that they can pass off lillies or tulips as originality, not disorganisation.
As to my day of love, it's just rammed home the singleness. A word to the wise - never go to the cinema on Valentine's Day unless you're with your partner. It's severely depressing otherwise. I saw a few hundred people during the time I was lining up. And I was definately the only single person.
*raises bottle*
Here's to me. And another year without forking out money on roses. As much as I'd like to.
Salut.

well i do agree that today is very depressing expecially being single !!! HELLOOO
Dude, I feel your pain, but it can always be worse.
We spent Valentine's Day evening at our final AnteNatal class, learning how to change nappies and bathe a baby, as well as hearing from a mother of 19 or so representing the Australian Breastfeeding association telling us what a joy it was for her to breastfeed, and find community with a group of similar lactators.
uh huh. *nods*
well mate i was working in a servo yest morning, and we had a few people come in buying chocolates and one guy even bought some of our dodgy CD that we stock, you could tell that he was getting desperate. :P
I just don't like how many feel that they "have" to buy flowers for their loved ones... just because we have a day called VDay! Why not buy them flowers on other days (when they don't jack up the prices?) or show them you love them in other ways???
That being said... i did order some flowers online a few weeks ago to be delivered yesterday, and they didn't charge extra :)... see them at http://blog.knuckey.org/?p=330

being around people who love you, and showing them the same thing, even if its not romantic love. pah, who cares.
